On behalf of the Blanco ISD Board of Trustees, I am proud to announce that we have selected Dr. Tanya Tate as the next Superintendent of Blanco Independent School District.

This decision follows a thorough and thoughtful search process, and we appreciate the input and engagement from our staff, parents, and community throughout this important work.

Dr. Tate brings nearly three decades of experience in public education. She began her career in the classroom and has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, director of curriculum, and most recently as an assistant superintendent. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to academic excellence, student success, and supporting teachers.

In addition to her instructional leadership, Dr. Tate has extensive experience in key areas such as career and college readiness, district operations, budgeting, and long-range planning, including bond and facilities projects. Her well-rounded background and steady leadership style make her exceptionally well-prepared to lead Blanco ISD.

As a Board, we are confident that Dr. Tate is the right leader to build on the strong foundation of this district and to help guide Blanco ISD into the future.

I would also like to thank everyone who contributed their time, feedback, and perspective during this process. Your involvement helped ensure we made a well-informed decision that reflects the priorities of our community.
