Incoming 7th Grade Immunizations

Attention Parents of Incoming 7th Graders:

We are near the end of the school year & I want to send out a second reminder about the vaccines needed before your child can start 7th grade!!!

Did you know you can view your child’s shot record on the BISD Parent Portal?

Log in to your portal and click on your child’s immunizations tab.

• Your 7th grader will need two additional immunizations before school starts on August 13, 2025

• If your child has not received Tdap or MCV4 (meningitis), they will not be allowed to begin classes on the first day of school.

• Please return the updated shot record to the school office or Nurse Kuzins BEFORE the 1st day of school (August 13th), or they will NOT receive their class schedule.

If  you have no insurance or Medicaid, you may go to the following clinics to receive the vaccinations:

Health Department in MF 830-693-8424

Scott & White Clinic in JC 830-868-4033

Hill Country Memorial Clinic in JC 830-868-7800

Fredericksburg Frontera Healthcare Network 830-992-2005

If you have private insurance, call your doctor or pharmacy for an appointment.

If your child has an Exemption Affidavit that will expire before August 13th, a notarized original must be submitted before the first day of school. Remember, the affidavits are good for 2 years from the date of notarization.
